Before noon on Thursday, Oct. 25, officers were called to Brandermill Boulevard in Gambrills, where a 31-year-old had just been targeted by a pair of men who stole cash and his cellphone.

The man said that he had taken out money from the ATM at Navy Federal Credit Union when he was followed by a white car that rear-ended him, with both then pulling into the Verizon store parking lot, where two men got out and demanded cash from the driver while brandishing a handgun.

According to an Anne Arundel County Police spokesperson, the victim complied, and the suspects took the phone and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in the white vehicle.

Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect vehicle, but were unable to track the two suspects - described as being Black men between 20 and 30 years old, one with a slim build, and one with a heavy build - down.

Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery has been asked to contact detectives at the department by calling (410) 222-6135.
